The shampoo and conditioner are easy to use. I typically rub the shampoo on the roots like just like you would if you were washing your body with a bar of soap. Obviously, water is key for activating the soapy suds on the bar so wet it first and apply to wet hair.Rinse between shampooing and conditioning.I wet the conditioner first and apply to my wet hair. I typically do this using the "prayer hands" method. Just put the bar in one hand and leave the other hands empty and or pre lathered if you feel you need to add as much as possible. I haven't found that to be necessary, but it doesn't hurt either.If you just use the shampoo, your hair will feel kind of dry. But if you used conditioner, you won't have any issues running a comb or your fingers through it to apply your styling cream.The scent is not overpowering but if someone nozzles their nose into your hair or if the wind blows through it with someone nearby, they will smell this lovely product. So basically, the smell is subtle, but it is there.I've been using these for about a month and still have a while to go. I haven't noticed it withering away.I try to be waste conscious, and this works well, so I won't be going back to the liquid products.For reference, I have a very thick head of hair. It is a little longer than shoulder length and my curls are 3b. I typically wash my hair every day to every other day.

Second time using it since I bought it and like it very much. I have 3 B/C curly hair and this shampoo and conditioner moisturizes my hair very well. I also noticed less shedding on todays wash. Will update in about 2-3 months of use but so far my hair is liking it.

So I got this product cause I was trying to cut down on plastic bottles over taking my shower stall. I also wanted something more natural. I have hard water where I live and I always feel like I have this gross residue left on my scalp. The shampoo bar lathers up really nice! I was very surprised. My hair feels so clean and for the first time in 5 years since we moved here. No Residue! So onto the conditioner. I'm slightly disappointed that it's smaller from its counter part. I usually need a lot cause my hair is longer and tangles very easily. Usually I need a lot to be able to run my fingers through to untangle it. I also keep my hair longer cause it weighs my curls down making to actually easier for me to manage it. My hair is still damp in the picture and I didn't use any conditioner as a leave in so just it's out of shower look. I do find if I start at the top of my head and do little circles all the way down then it works nicely. It doesn't lather but it does untangle it so I can run my fingers through while in the shower. But honestly my hair has never felt softer and cleaner. I'm hooked. So the only con I can think of is the conditioner being smaller than the shampoo bar.

I have wavy hair. I bought these to try out to take on my 2 week trip to Italy. I plan to take a carry-on + backpack & want to reduce my liquids. I was pleasantly surprised! I love the feel of both. Easy to use. My hair feels so soft, clean and bouncy.

Thanks to another Amazon review, I bought this for traveling carry on only and I LOVE it!It is great for curly hair. I have only used it twice so far. More comments later...
