I tried this the first time, right before bed. It made my face very sticky. I think I used too much though. The second time I used it was right before my make-up application. I took a makeup sponge and circled a little on the end of the sponge and did not dip back into the salve again. I managed to smooth it on my whole face with just that one dab. It made applying my makeup smooth and suttle. In the evening, I washed off my makeup and my skin felt so soft.
