Details and ingredients

Italy and Sicily hold a special place in the heart of Tangie’s founder. She is from Sicilian decent and recently enjoyed the trip of a lifetime to visit her ancestral village with her mom. The sites, the people, the scents, the beauty – it stays with you forever and so do the memories of visiting Italy and Sicily. Even the wrappers were inspired by that trip and specially designed by Mudra!  Please reuse the wrapper as a bookmark, gift tag, or tiny piece of art.

Embrace the essence of a vibrant Italian spring with our Italian Rose Shampoo and Conditioner Bars. Enriched with delicate calamine powder, the shampoo bar not only gently cleanses your hair but also nurtures your scalp, leaving it feeling refreshed and balanced. Its alluring pink hue and the enchanting scent of rose geranium essential oil evoke the image of strolling through a Tuscan garden in full bloom, where the air is filled with the sweet aroma of freshly bloomed roses.

Complementing this olfactory journey, our conditioner bar boasts the same soothing benefits of calamine powder, intertwined with a harmonious blend of wild orange, French lavender, and ylang-ylang. This exquisite fragrance combination conjures the sensation of wandering through the sun-dappled citrus groves of Sicily, amidst fields of fragrant lavender and lush ylang-ylang blossoms. How to use the shampoo bar

To use, simply wet your hair and rub the bar directly onto your scalp. A few good swipes all over your head is all you need. Sit the bar down and with both hands, massage into a rich lather. Rinse thoroughly. Follow up with conditioner if desired.

Shampoo bars are so easy to use and once you get used to it, you will never want to use a plastic bottle of shampoo anymore.

PRO TIP: Let the bar dry between uses. Like any bar of soap, if it sits in water, it will break down fast.

WHY LESS CAN BE MORE

No matter how much hair you have, keep in mind it may take you less shampoo than you think! We have been very well marketed too for MANY years, teaching us that more is better. Try a few swipes of the shampoo bar over your head and see if that is enough lather for you. You will be surprised how well it works and how little it takes!

The true test is seeing how your hair feels AFTER it is dry and/or styled. It will only take you a few washes to determine how much shampoo is perfect for your needs.

How to apply the conditioner bar

Like any other ordinary conditioner, apply after shampooing your hair and apply the conditioner into all your strands. Leave it on your hair for a couple of minutes before rinsing it off thoroughly and then enjoy the feel of your refreshed locks.

Hold the bar in your hand and wipe it on your hair in a downward motion.

You can also rub the bar in your hands for about 15 seconds, getting the conditioner onto your hands then applying it to your hair. The moisturizing properties of the conditioner do not lather, so it will not ‘appear’ to be on your hands, but the slick, smooth conditioner is there and will apply easily to your strands.

For long hair, try the ‘two low ponytails’ method. Part your hair in the back down the middle and pull each section over a shoulder, then swipe the bar down each section of hair.

More than one way to use a Tangie conditioner bar.

You may want to try more than one way to see what works best for you and your hair.

  • Difficulty holding a bar? Then turn the conditioner bar into a liquid before use.
  • Prefer a spray-on conditioner? Liquifying the conditioner bar then adding it to a spray bottle is for you.
  • Need a leave-in conditioner for deep conditioning days? Place the bar in a small amount of water, and it will go from a hard bar to a thick mouse-like consistency.

There is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ hair routine.

Tangie conditioner bar is ready to meet YOUR needs. Tangie Conditioner Bars give you versatility. Unlike its bottled predecessor, our solid conditioner bar can be used in several ways. Use as an In-Shower Rinse, In-Shower Spray/Pour On or as a Leave-In Conditioner.

In-Shower Rinse

Wipe the bar directly onto the hair in a downward motion with the hair shaft. Let sit for a minute or two, then rinse. You can also rub the bar between your two hands, then apply the conditioner onto your hair in a downward motion. Due to the slick feel of the conditioner bar, you may not ‘feel’ like you are getting conditioner on your hands, but you are! Rub the bar and wipe your hair a few times if needed.

In-Shower Spray

Directions to turn a conditioner bar into a liquid conditioner:
Cut the bar in half 4 times, making 8 pie wedges. In a small pan, add 8 ounces of water, add one piece of conditioner bar, heat water until almost boiling, then turn off the burner. Stir occasionally until completely dissolved. It takes about 5 minutes. Cool then pour liquid into your spray bottle or pumper, it will work in both types of dispensers.

PRO TIP: For a thicker conditioner to pour into your hand, instead of spraying, add one more piece of conditioner bar to the steps listed above. Dissolve as many pieces as you like to get the consistency you prefer.

FOR BEST RESULTS: Settling will occur when you liquify the bar. Shake your spray or pumper bottle before dispensing the liquid conditioner.

Leave-In Conditioner

On damp or dry hair, apply a bit of the softened conditioner bar using your fingers and apply to hair or just tips to tame frizz. For deep conditioning, add a thick layer over all your hair, leave in for 20-30 minutes then rinse.

HOW TO SOFTEN THE BAR CONDITIONER. [just soak it in water overnight]

  1. Place one conditioner bar inside a lidded container.
    1. Use a container that is wider than the bar to accommodate the increase in bar size so you are able to easily remove it once softened, if you choose not to store it in that same container.
  2. Fill with a few ounces of water to cover the bar, let sit for 24 hours, flipping over halfway for each side of the bar to soak up water.
  3. The bar will plump up in size and be soft, like the texture of thick cream cheese.
  4. The more water you use, the larger and softer the bar gets.
  5. Drain off the water and store in a container of your choice.

After the initial soak, you can easily adjust the water to bring the bar to a softness you like best.

The bar will be a thick and soft consistency which works well for leave-in and deep conditioning purposes.

WHY LESS CAN BE MORE

No matter how you apply the conditioner, keep in mind it may take you less conditioner than you think! We have been very well marketed too for MANY years, teaching us that more is better. Try a small amount of the conditioner and see how your hair feels AFTER it is dry and/or styled. You can always apply more during your next hair washing.
